According to a recent study, 84% of people research their medical treatment online. Yes, really. So it’s easy to assume that when someone thinks they might be pregnant, their phone (and Google) are often the first to know.
We all love the Internet. But it can be hard for patients to know which sources of maternity information are trustworthy, whether what they’re reading is factual (or current), and how to filter out unreliable information.
That’s why it’s so important that facilities and educators provide their patients with up-to-date, medically-accurate information and guidance at every step of their pregnancy journey. Because if there are any gaps in your patient education program, your patients might go to Google to fill them.
What’s a Facility to Do?
Obviously, you can’t keep your patients off their phones. But you can take steps to put the right materials in their hands at the right time.
In this busy crazy world, this can be a real challenge. Things change, people move on, and maybe it’s been a while since you actually took a look at the educational materials your facility is using. And how well they line up with your patient’s specific needs at every important touchpoint – pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, baby care, and beyond.
We can help.
Introducing Maternity Mapping
If you’ve worked with CCI in the past, you know we’re always looking for the next innovative way to help hospitals and birthing centers prepare their patients for the full maternity experience. That’s why we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new Maternity Mapping initiative.
What is Maternity Mapping? It’s basically an expansion of our services to include custom education programs designed to deliver a customized (and optimized!) maternity education program that will be even more valuable to your patients, their families, and your unique community.
Here’s how these expanded services differ from the branding and customization services we’ve always provided.
- MORE formalized custom services
- MORE streamlined processes
- MORE new services, including curriculum plans and digital resources
- MORE focus on every stage of the maternity experience
In other words, we can now help you optimize your current materials and launch a full-spectrum education program that aligns with your brand, your community, and your values. Pretty cool, right? We think so, too.
How It Works
There are 4 simple steps to securing the custom maternity education program you’ve always wanted for your facility.
STEP 1 — Mapping
Maternity mapping is an easy way to see your facility’s current patient education program at a glance. Where you’re doing a great job and where you might want to do more. Simply answer a few quick questions and we’ll use your answers to create a map like the one you see here. Like what you see? Start Mapping
STEP 2 — Discovery
After we review your answers, we’ll identify any gaps in your maternity map. Are you providing consistent information at every patient touch point? If not, we’ll give you some recommendations and start creating a custom education plan. This may include a discovery phone call to gather more details and learn more about your vision and goals for your program.
STEP 3 – Presentation
Once we’ve heard from you and agreed on the direction you’d like to take, the magic really begins. We’ll work with our writers and designers to create an education program tailored specifically for your facility. This includes a detailed visual plan so you can see and share what the finished program will look like. And a clear summary of all the plan and pricing details.
STEP 4 – Launch
To ensure you can successfully implement your awesome new maternity education program, we’ll also provide plenty of training, either in person or via Zoom. Training will include an overview of the program and educational offerings, as well as any demos or internal training you would like. And because we want your staff to be able to maximize the benefits of all the new resources, from books to digital products, we’ll also share valuable strategies to help them master the best practices of every offering.
So who’s ready to partner up? If the prospect of customizing your maternity education program sounds good to you, we’re here to help. Get started today by taking the simple Maternity Mapping Survey and we’ll take it from there.
What’s Next? You tell us!
We’d love to hear from you. What do you like about your current patient education resources? What do you wish you had? If you could create your dream maternity education program, what would it look like? And what strategies are you using to make sure your patients aren’t turning to Google first for guidance? You’re invited to join us on Facebook at CCI Hub to share your ideas and to keep this conversation going
