A Day of Pampering

Every new mom deserves some time to relax, unwind and refresh. That’s why we asked nurses and educators to nominate a new mom who’s had her baby within the last three months and tell us why they believe she deserves a day off. After reading through the nominations, we’ve chosen three moms for a day of pampering — on us!

Here are our lucky winners and what their sponsors had to say about them.

Grand Prize Winner: Vanessa S.
Vanessa was nominated by her mother-in-law Sandy Salgado, a private childbirth educator, lactation consultant, doula and CCI client from California. Vanessa has 4 children under the age of 4, all born by cesarean. As a military wife stationed away from family support and whose husband is away 6-8 months out of the year, Vanessa is often home alone. Sandy says that Vanessa is “the most dedicated mommy to all of her children everyday” and that “she never complains and always puts her energies into her children, not leaving much time for herself.”

Second Prize Winner: Angel R.
Angel was working as a labor and delivery nurse up until she had her new baby. Just one day after returning from maternity leave, she lost her father to cancer. North Carolina client Jackie Williams, who nominated Angel, writes that “she had to endure the joy of motherhood while also grieving the loss of a parent, but she handled it well!”

Second Prize Winner: Tiffany P.
Tonia Breuer, a client from Wisconsin, wanted to surprise her sister, Tiffany, with a little gift. Tiffany is a mother to two girls who are only 13 months apart. Tonia is “so proud of all that Tiffany does and of the wonderful mommy she is to little Cecilia and Lucille.”

We certainly believe these mommies deserve a day off and truly hope they enjoy their Spafinder gift cards.
